As a creative professional, the idea of using AI tools to help design a website is both exciting and intimidating. When I decided to redesign my website using Wix's AI tools, I wasn't sure what to expect. But the results? Mind-blowing.
It all started with a prompt. I told the platform what kind of site I wanted, and in under a minute, Wix custom-designed a webpage tailored to my needs. Yes, under a minute to create a fully functioning website—let that sink in. As a designer, this felt like science fiction. But it's the reality we’re living in, and honestly? Sign me up.

Now, let's be clear: AI is powerful, but its output is only as good as the prompts you feed it. Think of it like baking—poor ingredients, poor cake. Similarly, if you give vague or incomplete prompts, you'll get dull results. This is why prompt engineering is so important. It's a skill worth learning because, whether you're crafting a blog or building a website, the quality of your AI results hinges on how specific and thoughtful your instructions are.
After giving my carefully crafted prompt, the platform generated an entire webpage in record time. It was sleek, functional, and met the initial criteria I provided. As someone who spends hours perfecting layouts and designs, I couldn’t help but be a little shook—this was done in less time than it takes to brew my morning coffee! Is it scary for a designer to see AI doing in minutes what might take hours of human labor? Absolutely. But I choose to see AI as a tool, not a competitor. It’s like driving a car: I’m still the one in control, directing where it goes, but the car gets me there faster.
Staying relevant in the ever-changing digital landscape means adapting to new technology. Ignoring AI would be like refusing to use a car because you’re too attached to walking—sure, it’s possible, but it’s not efficient. If you want to succeed in this digital era, embracing AI as an essential tool is no longer optional.
Once Wix had built the basic structure of my website—like buying a car off the lot—I shifted into customization mode. Now it was time to set up the dashboard, or in this case, refine the content and visuals. I used Wix's AI tools to help with copywriting, but as with any AI-generated content, I made sure to review, edit, and rewrite each paragraph multiple times. This process ensured that the final copy reflected my style, language, and brand identity.
Next came the graphics. Wix Studio's AI sorted my images into categories, automatically placing them on the pages where they would fit best. It was an incredibly useful feature—saving me hours of manually uploading and organizing—but of course, I went in to tweak things to my liking.
Now, my website is live, the equivalent of getting my car on the road. The final step was integration—using Wix's SEO tools to ensure my site met all the latest Google ranking requirements. Wix’s SEO checklist walked me through optimizing every detail, from meta tags to alt text, ensuring my site is not only visually appealing but also discoverable online.
In conclusion, using Wix’s AI tools has streamlined my website redesign process in ways I didn’t think were possible. It’s not about AI replacing creativity—it’s about leveraging it to work smarter and faster. Just like driving a car, AI can take you where you need to go, but the journey will always be guided by you. Love Always xx, Rachel Alexandra Sources: https://manage.wix.com/studio/discover
